Message: Merry Christmas, I am sorry to hear about Kubota, he is the sire of my Heldig, now almost 11. He was bred with Angela Derose's Wintergray's Bigtime Lydia, and this is where i purchased Heldig, as well as took Holy Smokes Hannah; as a companion for him. Thank you for the opportunity to own such a beautiful dog as my Heldig...

Message: Hi Maggie & Sally I am so sad to read about Kubota. It is the most difficult decision to make. Hopefully the thought of knowing that he is now running free, without pain pain and does not have to share his bones with his house mates will make you smile. You will miss him always and will always hold him dear to your heart (I know). Thinking of you both Kathy Cambo

Message: These dogs are highly intelligent, courageous and elegant. They have remained relatively unchanged since Scandinavian cultures first domesticated them. Elkhounds are high on intelligence, need effort on obedience. They will do their thing if you're boring them. Generally adaptable if you work with them.
